2. According to Scooter, he gave his waiver a while back. Miller
wanted a personal release. Both need to spin it to their advantatage and the different motives are immovable object meets freight train scenarios. Is Scooter her ONLY source, hmmmmmm.

Leaking Scandal Encircles More Administration Officials Than Previously Believed

Today, Time magazine reports that White House official Karl Rove and others may have learned “about Plame from within the Administration rather than from media contacts.”

Recall that for weeks, Rove, Libby, and company have been hiding behind reporters. It has been suggested to the special prosecutor that Rove first learned the identity of Plame from journalists.

3. My guess is she was ready to break and gave Libby the option...
...of releasing her or she was talking anyway. Libby did the smart thing and released her from the confidentiality agreement "willingly".

4. Maybe the pressure not to testify was from somewhere else
Still wondering what the recent Miller-Bolton meeting was about. Think that had anything to do with it?

16. Yep. Fitzgerald should watch Judith's back or "that" testimony may not
. . ."happen." :-(

7. He was waiting for things to blow over.
Bush has weathered the storm through so many scandals over the past 5 years, it's easy to see where he would think they'd weather this one too. Also, I think someone has turned and decided to name names to Fitzgerald. I read somewhere (I forget where) that Fitzgerald didn't want Judy's testimony as primary, but corroborating.

The cat's out the bag. I think Scooter sees the writing on the wall. Other than a few protests from the MSM and Judy's employer, no one really supported Judy M. in refusing to testify/reveal her source. They thought Fitzgerald would break, but he didn't back down.

This is going straight to Cheney's office.

12. Perhaps it wasn't up to him to release her.
It has been a long time for the decision to release her. It could be that they have spent the time lining up their ducks, or are about to surrender, or it could be a great big rove sucker punch and she has no information, so everybody looks foolish for bothering with this in the first place.
