"I am the guy who will bring down DeLay"

says Earle-the Tx procecutor at a Dem fundraiser a few weeks ago. Some repug Republican was on Hannity tonight saying this.

On tweety this afteroon Delay said that he will prove that this was a concerted effort by Democratic Leaders to get him. but he would not explain any further--in due time he told Tweety.
Hannity then saying something about upper leader Dems leading the charge.
Hannity is out to help DeLay prove that this was a concerted effort to bring down DeLay by Dem leaders.

4. Yeah, and Susan Molinari was also on Tweety telling the same
story...Molly Ivins trying to deflect it. Molinari was acting "morally outraged" in typical Republican fashion...

9. That so totally sounds not like Ronnie Earle
Sorry, but Earle's not very political. I don't doubt he's attended fundraisers, but Earle's not long on red meat invective like that.

10. I'm telling ya.....
.... this pin has stuck the hog in the flesh. Let me put it another way - the vehemence and vitriol convinces me that Delay is in real trouble. A good poker player doesn't bluster about his hand if it is a good hand. They've got nothing, so they are going for the bluff.

Not only that, but it is clear to me that they knew this indictment was coming down and had the talking points all prepared and ready to roll.

I enjoy watching them lie and spin. I wonder if they realize that Americans (the middle ones) are not buying their shit any more...

If DeLay knew the case was weak, he would let an acquittal prove it.

14. Who the hell do they think they are kidding?
I've been at hundreds of fund raisers. No one has ever stood up and pumped their fist in the air and said anything this asinine or anything remotely comparable.

It wouldn't happen. It's rightwing Repubican talking point fiction, made up by that self hating moron Keh Mehlman.

It's even more bizarre that these people are so desperate that they think anyone would believe this crap.

15. Hannity quoted him as saying that - & Hannity lies
Earle supposedly said "Nobody is above the law"

Hannity would have you believe it's purely political.

18. Not that I enjoy doing this
but, I listened to Hannity today while I was driving the kids around. Delay was on (although I think it was from a previous tape). Anyway, it was Delay saying he could "absolutely" connect the leading Dems with Earle. He was talking about getting a hold of e-mails, etc. to prove it "before they disappear."

Yeah, it's pretty thick with Delay saying this is just 'politically motivated and baseless accusations', blah, blah, blah.

They're sweaten' bullets, me thinks.

19. All hearsay
Typical Thug nonsense; just make up something and throw it out there. Proof? Witnesses? Corroboration? They never can produce anything of substance, just pull it out of their ass and say "It's been said...." All lies.

20. Yep. Most prosecutors want to bring down the big criminal
Happens all the time.

The only difference here is that a news network wants this big criminal to get away with the crime and thinks its wrong to take this criminal down. Oh, well.
