O'Reilly might just be worse than Hannity

Sean Hannity (aka Insannity)is extremely partisan and negative on the air, but at least he admits to being a hardcore conservative. Bill O'Reilly portrays himself as a centrist who is "fair and balanced". I think he showed today that he is a hardcore conservative extremist.

In the first hour, he talked about how it was wrong for people to personally attack their political opponents. He said that he didn't think Hillary Clinton was evil, even thought she voted against John Roberts (O'Reilly thinks voting against Roberts is extreme!) Then, in the second hour, he spends the entire hour personally attacking a judge who ruled that the Abu Gharib photos should be released. He called him a villain, called him and the ACLU "anti-American", and said that he would never eat lunch with an ACLU member, comparing it to eating lunch with a pedophile! He then said that he hoped that this would lead to the end of the "far left". He included Michael Moore, George Clooney, and the ACLU in this group. Are these the words of a fair-and-balanced moderate? One thing I've noticed about O'Reilly is that he can keep up his moderate act when he isn't emotional. When he loses his composure, he out-Hannities Hannity!

Did you see Phil Donahue smack his ass down? Given, most righties think Phil's a left-wing freak anyways, but he did whoop Billy's ass. He got Bill to cower and say something trying to diminish his pro-Iraq war stance...

My mom and dad watch Faux but even they have been staying away and recognize Billy's extremism. I think Sean is way more dangerous, just from watching the credibility my own family affords him over Loofah Man. Maybe it's because they think Colmes is really representative of "the Left." Makes it appear to un-thoughtful people that the show is more balanced.

My folks (who I tend to think of as old-school repubs who've been duped by the neocons) think it's a total waste of time to bash celebrities for their views, even if they don't agree with them, so I think by bashing celebs, Bill's just showing how out of touch and irrelevant he is. Hannity is the one to watch, if one must watch, IMO.
