McNabb named NFC Player of Month

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for his performance in the Eagles' three games in September.

Despite an assortment of serious injuries, McNabb threw for 964 yards in three games with eight touchdown passes and two interceptions and a passer rating of 99.4.

This is the fourth straight year McNabb has been named Player of the Month at least once. He also received the honor for September of 2002, November of 2003 and September of 2004.

The only other Eagle who's ever been named an NFC Offensive Player of the Month was Randall Cunningham, who earned the honor for November of 1988, November of 1990, September of 1992 and September of 1993.
