22. It has been very hard...

My city and my people were punked by Bushler and his gang while America watched on TV. I cannot begin to list all the thoughts and emotions I've been going through. I didn't get one penny from FEMA or the Red Cross, even though I waiting in lines for hours and days. Most of my time has been spent on basic survival and looking for loved ones. I was lucky to be taken in by the University of Memphis - they acknowledged that I had just paid for my final semester and books for my masters degree, and had no money for tuition there, if I wanted to enroll. They waived the tuition and bought my books, so I am now keeping myself occupied by sticking my nose into my books instead of dwelling on the horror.

She has been going all over to enroll students that were displaced by Katrina.

Study, enjoy the small things (Delay's indictment hee hee hee), do what you can to keep your head straight.
