Ok - Gore-Conyers
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 01:24 AM by Must_B_Free
Is Conyers not PR material? He sure has earned it...

And Gore is needed to set the Nation straight again. 2008 is about redemption.

Repukes will run McCain-Giuliani...

They desparetely want us to run Hillary so they can trounce her.

3. Conyers on either side of the ticket works for me
He's one of the only ones who stands up for the truth, whether it's the Iraq quagmire or election fraud.

4. No...
Conyers is a brave and good man. But he is not the man for the presidency. In fact, I have thought many times that if we had a 2005 man of the year award for the most corageous and heroic Democrat, Conyers would for sure finish in the top three. But he would not work at all for being President. I have a feeling Conyers likes where he is right now, and I like him where he is too. He is in a perfect position to be the proverbial thorn in the fascists side for years to come. He will never be voted out of office in the district he is in.

6. Conyers, Gore works for me. President Conyers, all the way. Just ...
.... reserved Conyers2008 and Conyers08 (.net, .org, .com, and .us) and will gladly donate them to him when he decides to announce his candidacy.

Peace.

9. We need Al and Al deserves it, Conyers is the perfect VP choice tho
Gore has already served as VP (and been elected President, of course). He has the experience. Serving as VP again would be a step back. Conyers would be a great VP choice, though, and after eight years (please, goddess) of a Gore White House, Conyers would then be an excellent President for another eight years (please, goddess).

13. Welcome diva77
:toast:

Understandinglife asked Conyers to run for President. I'd love to see Conyers run for President, because there is no better choice and nobody deserves and earns the presidency like Conyers does.

The point is whether Conyers wants to run and whether it is possible, because then there's a long struggle ahead to make sure that people are told about what Conyers has done and the length he will go through for the people. His ticket is based on his record and it's amazing, but sadly you have to assume that only a small group knows.

8. I don't think he'd be as good looking if someone gored him.
Not that he is that good looking as it is :-)

10. I was struggling for a way to say, "I don't think so".
That was perfect.

And I greatly admire both Gore and Conyers. They are both courageous men. They represent us well. We need legions of them, and not all will be president. Our strength is with our roots. The president is the showpiece, he/she represents us. IMHO

11. Good match.
Except McCain is not going to be the Repug nominee. If the neocons are still in power, it will not be a moderate. It will be another lunatic.

12. Conyers is 66 - would be 69 in 2008.
I love him (I'm from Detroit), but I worry that he might be a little too old. Of course that didn't stop Reagan...

15. Sounds great - lets make it happen.
We need the founder of our "internets" to give us our civil and human rights back before it's too late! Dashing madly into calamity we are at this current rate!
