Oh his name it is George, and may he rot in hell
I invoke this curse that the Truth he must tell
May he spin round in circles if lies he would speak
From that lying gasbag let the Truth always leak

If he lies like a dog, let him grunt like a pig
With each lie he tells let a voodoo pin dig
May banshees all haunt him in the dead of the night
May all of his falsehoods be brought to the light

He who murders the cold Truth his friends for to please
Let the ghost of Truth rise and bring him to his knees
May the Truth pierce his ears may it bring him to tears
May he face angry crowds armed with sharp tongues and jeers

Bad luck to the robber be he drunk or sober
Who stole into office like a thief and took over
May he lose all his cash in a stock market crash
May he pass out from pretzels, get cysts on his ass

May the death tax now double, may his lies bring him trouble
With a rusty old needle let the Truth prick his bubble
May there be a reversal, make health care universal
Let the rich pay the bills or they too shall feel cursed all.

May he learn to tread water, live life like a squatter
Before it's too late, may his tyranny totter
For the Truth will be spoke like a levee that's broke
It will spill from his tongue and in the flood he will choke

A truly original spirit, a devout Roman Catholic AND Voudounist, at the same time. She encouraged -- demanded -- her followers to follow the example of Jesus Christ, even as they walked among the spirits of the dead.

She was eventually edged out of the leadership of the Christian/Voudoun community as age took its toll.

A lot of people know of the "Witch Queen of New Orleans" (as the title of one song calls her), but more people should know her as a spirit of her age and world. There's more than just the predictable juju to Mizz Leveau.

I've forgotten his name, but I seem to remember reading that he was every bit as wonderfully eccentric as she was.

I should scour the Internet for more information about her, but I'm already so far behind in my reading that I'm just going to have to reincarnate to catch up!
