One would think that Cheney's number one guy would be more important than Bolton, but who knows?

What the hell are they up to?

2. Miller has been planning this move all along.
Who knows what she got from the Repubs for going to jail, but it's probably more than what she got for promoting lies about Iraq.

In any case, she's not important.

Bolton visited Miller in prison. He's connected somehow.

3. I think Miller is very important.
I think she's a career criminal of the lowest order.

4. Yes, and by god, prosecute her. But she has zero power really
The people with power work in the administration (at least they're on the books).

I'll watch with fascination any prosecution of Miller. She's a criminal of the highest order as far as I'm concerned.

But - unfortunately - there are bigger fish to fry here.

5. Maybe. There's an interesting sentence in today's NYT article...
"Bill Keller, the executive editor of The New York Times, said that Mr. Fitzgerald had assured Ms. Miller's lawyer that "he intended to limit his grand jury interrogation so that it would not implicate other sources of hers."

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/29/politics/29cnd-court.html?pagewanted=2&ei=5094&en=ab3e643986deb5a5&hp&ex=1128052800&partner=homepage

What this means, I have no idea. Other sources in the Plame investigation? Other sources in general (because Fitzgerald was after Miller's sources in another, unrelated case).

Hmmm.

6. More like being thrown under the bus for Rove.
Lets face it. When you have both the top advisers for the President and Vice President at the center of the conspiracy you have the President and Vice President at the center of the conspiracy. My guess is that Libby will be made the fall guy. He'll be labeled a "rogue" staffer, who told Judy Miller, who told KKKarl, who told Novak, who confirmed it with Libby. Leaving Rove and Bush a couple of steps removed from the initial outing or so they hope.
