Is it just me or has racism become more blatant recently?

It's stunning, how even now, we have shit like Bennet making ridiculous comments.

And I just read on Kos about that ass hole Charles Murray, basically saying the blacks in New Orleans were too lazy to get jobs. Of course this fuckin racist was the author of the notorious "Bell Curve", a book I believe gave racism a false intellectual justification and resurgence.

This shit can't go unanswered. The WSJ editorial board is made up by a bunch of obviously racist, classist, motherfuckers.

It's obvious that in recent weeks, racism is getting more and more blatant.

It seems that with this administration, it's OK to hate again. There is a tacit approval of this behavior. They like people being afraid. That's why hate crimes have gone up - not only against Arabs, but Jews as well. Racism is getting more blatant and the racists have become more vocal.

Too bad that idiot has a way of spreading his text all over and I have very little. Living in Houston, I've seen many evacuees taking jobs here, and even on the news they would interview people who were evacuees and saying that they wanted a place to live, to get their kids into school, and to get a job so they could build their lives back.

There may be a small group of people unwilling to work, but that no more reflects on the majority than Timothy McVeigh reflected on white veterans.

20. I've been hearing it for years from my right-wing well-to-do relatives.

I'm just surprised that it's taken so long for it to reach the mainstream. I mean, these white people DO NOT BELIEVE they're racist.

Yet, my relatives have made comments that black people are more criminally prone which is why they are more of them in prison. I went down to give a ride to someone who had been caught for DUI and was with a white friend, and we were both shocked how the prison attendants were very respectful of her, and how denigrating they were to the hispanic Mexican-American immigrant types and blacks. I'm talking about the people who came to spring their friends and loved one, not the men who were in jail. I told this to my relatives and they all SHOUTED me down! I've never felt so humiliated. And every time I think about that event, I grow to resent them even more.

22. It seems to me they have simply stopped using the code words

they used to use to signal their racist supporters and are now stating their racist crap outright. I am wondering if it is because they have now lost all but their racist base and in order to hold them they can't use the code words anymore, it is too subtle for the knuckledraggers.
