Wasn't a high ranking US guy in Iraq saying two or three months ago contendly that things in Iraq were going "exactly as planned"? I read it here on DU. And those two British soldiers were a dead giveaway. And neither the American nor the British nor the German - others I don't know - press has asked WHAT THE HELL THOSE TWO WERE DOING WITH ANTI TANK GUNS.

Also one cannot remind of Operation Gladio too often.
