9. Seems they're not prepared for too many connections - no button didn't
work or me at first. I think lots are participating because they just got their weekly preview newsletters. You can try later, my third try made it.

2. Sorry, I have had my fill of propaganda
Will never tune in these shills, nor will I donate ever again to PBS now that the extreme right-wing propagandists have taken it over.

7. My thoughts exactly - but then that's what they want, no more PBS.
Another thought. It's not PBS' fault.
And is there no way to fight back?

I really enjoyed this whole week of '60s shows, some quite political too -about the power of protest music, etc.

23. I thoroughly enjoyed those myself. PBS has the best documentaries
on the air. I'm afraid all that will change now.

3. Sample topic: Are conservative students being oppressed
Liberal Intolerance?

Are conservative students being oppressed on U.S. campuses? And, if so, is an Academic Bill of Rights needed to protect them?

5. Even here in Madison they are allowed to express their views openly
As they should be. My point is that if they are able to express freely on the campus of even UW-Madison, what are they complaining about?

15. That's not the issue.
The issue is that liberal professors are expressing THEIR views openly, and the wingnuts find it unsettling.

12. First among equals
They don't understand true equality. Perhaps it is something they miss out on by avoiding service. I never saw anywhere that people were more equal than in bootcamp.

18. I think you're right. We have to fight back w/feedback. Not give up PBS.
I know we're all tired of fighting but it won't kill to send an email now and then with our dissenting opinion. Just so they know we're still here and won't give up the network quite so easily.

Hopefully, most RWers aren't "into" PBS anyway.

14. It doesn't say which Gulf - which SHOULD be part of the question
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 07:31 AM by FLDem5
The Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Mexico. Because I know, sure as shit, that this administration has issued several blank checks to Halliburton to rebuild the Persian Gulf.

Why is is to fucking hard to issue a blank check to help rebuild our own damn country. This is fucking unbelievable. Why is no one asking this question of our idiot leaders.

REBUILD THE GULF OF MEXICO BEFORE THE PERSIAN GULF for crying out loud. No more money for Iraq until our own country is taken care of. Period.

19. Why would you do that? I really wanted my NO vote to count!
Would you be willing to pay more taxes to help reconstruction in the Gulf?
Yes 55%
No 44%

I want congress to cut the pork first AND take some DOD money too iv possible. Force them to bring the troops home and take care of America.

When they ask if you'll pay more taxes they mean MIDDLE AMERICA again, not the rich and famous!

we shouLd get rid of the tax cuts.

do with the info.

the question wasn't should we rebuild, the question was should we do it with TAXES.

also, it's the liberals who get the newsletter that made the high NO votes, conservatives aren't even getting the notice yet.

LET THE NO VOTES STAND!
