Joseph Wilson: "act of cowardice" of Miller's source
Joseph Wilson: "act of cowardice" of Miller's source --Former US Ambassador, Joseph C. Wilson, comments to Citizens For Legitimate Government on the release of Judith Miller from jail 30 Sep 2005 "I am delighted that Judith Miller's ordeal has come to an end. She spent time in jail, by her own admission because her source had not given her the authorization she felt she required consistent with her personal understanding of her obligation as a journalist to protect the identity of that source. It was an act of cowardice on the part of her source, a senior official in the administration to allow her to languish in jail for the past several months rather than step forward to acknowledge his or her responsibility in this matter."

1. I have Wilson's book
but I think there's more to the eye concerning Miller.

4. You could be right..
but, I don't think she's taking that risk. Fitz knows more than he's letting on, and if he catches her lying to the grand jury she will have much more jail time on her hands.

8. Miller will not lie
Think about this for at least a second or two.

Judy already knows that Fitz has her in his sights. She knows that if she lies, she will go down for it. Miller's not going to take a federal perjury rap, go to prison for 18 months, and ruin her career for those lying scums in the West Wing. Would you?

Judy Miller may be many things, but I do not think that she's stupid. And I do not think that she's a ideologue. She'll tell the truth because she knows that she has to.

10. Would you go to jail for a million dollar pay-off?
I think she has, and she will.

15. Maybe. But she doesn't have to perjure herself to get that.
So why would she commit perjury?

I'm sorry. You can spin your little conspiracy webs, but Judy Miller is not stupid enough to walk into a grand jury chamber and tell lies, no matter what her agenda is.

You guys need to take the tin foil hats off and think about this clearly for a minute. There is no reason under the sun why Judy Miller would risk her career for Karl Rove and Stewart Libby.

Time to eat popcorn guys.

12. Fitz would love to get a hold of that.
Do you really think that Fitz has his eyes closed? Or do you think he is addle-brained? If anything even smells like a quid pro quo Fitz will just pad the indictments and there will be major felonies added to the charges.

Again, I don't think that Miller is that stupid.

The West Wing is caught in this. They are up to their asses in shit. They *know* that they're in it big time. They are hunkered down and riding out the storm. When indictments come down they will swiftboat Fitzgerald. That's the only thing that they know how to do. You give these guys much, much too much credit. They are clever, but they are not smart. Fitz would *love* to catch them in bribery.

16. It's never done with a check or highly visible transaction
She'll have a speaking tour with big fees and expenses paid. Bulk purchases of her books. Non-cash transfer of assets. Corporate board positions or consulting engagements. A long chain of sweetheart deals like stock tips, bargain buys, etc.

They are not stupid. They do know how to move money and assets around without traceability. And they have enough money to buy both sides of the investigation.

17. If the heat gets to be too much for the Bush regime, they will...
simply attack us again and blame Rove's freelancer, Osama bin Laden.

5. Personally, I view her as an accomplice.
She volunteered to act as a conduit of false information to the American public. Journalists' duty is to report the truth. She breached that duty.

13. But she's not going to risk going to prison for perjury
and ruin her career. Not even for all the tea in China.

She's not stupid. Lying would be a monumentally stupid thing to do.

7. Yesterday pm, he said he'd bet on a Rove indictment ...
... if he were a betting man. Heard on Ed Schultz's show.

This occurred before any word about Judith Miller's release.
