So the "orange" magnetic ribbon--what does it stand for?

I've seen ribbons in a lot of different colors on cars these days--blue and sometimes white for peace and non-violence, yellow for "supporting" the troops, pink for breast cancer and even black for election fraud awareness. But--orange? Bright, tangerine orange? Saw one yesterday on the back of a police van. Does anyone know what the significance of that one is?

7. I Love Orange

Got it painted in different rooms in my house. I loved it before Homeland Security stole it, and I refuse to give it to them.

Maybe the orange magnet means support Homeland Security's FEMA or some such craziness. Support the Terrorists, perhaps????

8. It probably isn't the same thing as I'm thinking...

...since it was on a police car--but, people the US started wearing orange in solidarity with Ukrainian Presidential candidate Yushchenko and his party, especially when the voter fraud in the US was uncovered. People were handing out orange ribbons to wear on their clothing at the hearings in Columbus that Mr. Conyers held. And there were people dressed in orange as well. I think Debbie Wasserman-Schultz wore orange quite a bit at that time, and a few others that I can't remember.

free elections - that's why the Ukrainians used it for their protest.

Edit to add: orange ribbon was used to protest the 2000 election theft, maybe because it cumulated in FL.

20. It's the sign of the Protestant religion as noted on the Irish flag.....

Green being the Catholic portion.

The colors of the Irish flag have no official meaning but many legends have risen to account for the colors. One of them states that the Green stripe is represents Catholics, the Orange represents Protestants and the white stripe symbolizes the peace between them. Another one states the orange color is associated with the Protestants in Ulster and those that derived from William III who defeated the Irish Catholics at the Battle of the Boyne in the late 1600s. It was included in the Irish flag in an attempt to reconcile the Protestants with the Irish independence movement.
