So who is Judith Miller continuing to cover for?
She emphasized several times that she wouldn't have left prison if Fitzgerald hadn't agreed to limit her testimony. "Very narrow" was the phrase she used at one point.

1. Bolton?
Maybe she and Fitzgerald know that her conversations with Bolton touched on a problem area separate from Plame.

Just a hunch.

2. Were you watching the press conference after her testimony?
I thought it was all very strange, and she tried to paint it as a matter of integrity. But what came out the loudest, to me, was how important it was for her (Miller's words) to give limited testimony.

When will the press begin to ask the right questions???!!!

3. I think definitely Bolton. When he visited her in jail,
they probably talked about whether she can devulge it or not, and the answer was no. That's why it was so important for her to limit it. Libby is just a smokescreen. I am sure Fitz is aware of that, and he just wants to close this particular stage in his investigation which relates to Libby and Rove, but that does not mean it's ALL over.

4. Smells fishy to me.

She sat in jail for 85 days because she had not heard Scooter's own voice tell her personally that it was okay to testify? Yeah right.

She could have easily gotten the message to Scooter a long time ago via the press or the NYT that she needed to hear his voice tell her it was okay. I call BS.

5. Judy's husband has been jetsetting vacationing....
while she rots in jail. Maybe she wanted out to safe her marriage. Family morals again. I wonder if Judy found a cute girlfriend in jail. Hope her husband dumps her for putting her career and fame above her family, and shaming her family.

8. "I wonder if Judy found a cute girlfriend in jail. "
I understand she was in a Maximum Lockdown (in part for her protection and in part to send a message).

She was in the same unit with the Unibomber and other such fun people.

No girlfriends to be found.

6. Allowing her to "limit" her testimony could also translate into
Fitzgerald providing her with a false sense of security; that he will devise a way to get the information he needs without setting off any alarms against her.
