When you hear "pro-life" or "cherish life" commercials on tv or radio...
What do you think?

What instantly comes to mind?

I think about the corporate abuse and misuse of workers and energy resources.

I think of our politicians who support those corporate entities.

I think of the actions all of these folks do that hurt our lives. Whether for environmental, financial, or other ways.

How can people out for themselves ALSO be pro-life?

You can tell me that marriage is only for one man and one woman. But when you prove yourselves two-faced on so many other life-cherishing issues, you've lost all cred. Pity most people are too busy controlling their brats on leashes, made hyper from watching too much square sponges and gyrating bimbos on television to give a damn about the world we're all stuck on. (not that we, the knowledgeable, can do jack shit about anything either... maybe ignorance IS bliss... but then, why are the majority of Americans unhappy right now?)

2. I think of a bunch of incredibly nosy people who think they have
the right to tell others how to live their lives and what to do with their bodies.

3. Wasn't there a war fought to ensure that people could live without
a king telling them what to do? Or taxing them for no reason? Or sending their kids off to wars, wars that were waged only to make the king and his friends richer?

I can't for the life of me remember the name of that country.

4. They're not pro-life, they're pro-birth. Save the fetus, screw the kid
Once the kid is out of the womb, all interest is lost. So what if he's poor and unwanted and neglected and abused. He's been born (as if that's the only part of "life" that matters). It's okay if he gets raped by his priest, because he was born. Too bad if he's starving and left alone for 16 hours a day while his mom or dad is out working two shitty jobs to try to make enough money to feed him. He was born! So he doesn't ever get to go to the doctor or dentist because he doesn't have insurance and medicare's been cut. So he never learns to read because the parents that didn't want him in the first place are too busy to make sure he does his homework. That's okay, because (if he survives the streets until he's 18) he can grow up to become a soldier and get blown up or shot in a far off country in some illegal, unecessary, immoral war because his cry-baby commander in chief got a bug up his ass.

They're pro-life like I'm pro-poop. I definitely want it to come out of me the natural way, but once it's out, I sure don't want to deal with it anymore.
