If it's one where parental consent is required, there aren't any clinics that could help her. And, the article doesn't say whether or not the girl tried to get help from Planned Parenthood or another clinic.

18, she would have to get parental permission. It sounds like that is the reason why she had her boyfriend hit her in the stomach with a bat. And by the time she aborted due to the abuse, she was at the end of her second trimester.

I don't know the law in Michigan; however, it sounds like she might have had to get parental consent.

I think every woman would prefer RU486 (isn't that what it's called) to take for an unwanted pregnancy in the first trimester. Although, I believe there is cramping and bleeding after it as well as an abortion.

For those idiots out there who say we have to speak for the babies or they wouldn't have a voice, they need to be aware of the pain, physically and emotionally, a woman goes through. This is something that stays with you all your life. I've never had to make that decision and thank GOD for that; however, I had a friend, who at the age of 14 had sex for the very first time. This was back in the 70s. Well, believe it or not, she got pregnant the same night she lost her virginity. I remember going to the doctor with her and then when she told her mom. Within a couple days, she and her mom flew to Washington, D.C. stayed the night and flew back. Never talked about it again. Also, to this day, she has not been able to get pregnant.

An column in the Waco TX paper last week--Victoria Graham, Billy's mutlimarried daughter, was interviewed. She spoke at Waco's "Crisis Pregnancy Center". She said she's an expert because she & her husband(S?) had "walked with (my) daughter through her two teenage pregnancies." !!!!! Yessiree: one daughter, two (TWO) teenaged pregnancies, and THIS BROAD'S AN EXPERT? Evodently the ladies at Waco's "Havethatbaby Nomatterwhat Crisis Pregnancy Center" did not see the irony.
