Judith Miller claims she would only have testified if 2 conditions met.
1) The personal release from her source to speak

2) A narrow testimony

Narrow testimony...

I wonder what exactly it was that she didn't want to be asked about, or for that matter, what she did testify about.

Here is what she said after her testimony outside the courthouse in a short Q&A with some reporters:

Believe me, I did not want to be in jail. But I would have stayed even longer if I had not achieved these two things: the personal waiver and the narrow testify - and the narrow testimony. I could not have testified without both of them. I said to the court before I was jailed that I did not believe I was above the law and that I would therefore have to go to jail because of my principles. But once I satisfied those principles, I was prepared to testify.

2. Some talking head said yesterday that Cooper testified once, and
when Fitz reviewed the testimony, he called him back to the GJ. That's supposed to be the reason Judy wanted to narrow her testimony. She wanted it to be over TODAY!

I'm not sure I buy that. I suspect she had multiple sources, and since Libby was already revealed, she was willing to go with that one, and spare the rest.

Who knows?

3. I call bullshit....
She is out of jail because Fitzgerald got what he needed.

All this other crap is self-serving spin.

5. Right. I believe there was a 10 day gap or so between when Scooter
phoned her and when she actually got out. Why the delay? Hmmm.

6. Why couldn't she give a narrow testimony?
Isn't this the decade of the narrow president?

7. Yeah, like Digby said today, I think someone spilled the beans
and she probably had to testify, otherwise she would have been fried.

(snip)

Miller is a made man. Why would Fitzgerald think she would tell the truth when it's clear that Libby wants her to testify on his behalf?

Because somebody else has already spilled the beans. How else did Judy come to Fitzgerald's attention in the first place?

8. Another thread on this - and the reasons why I think she's hiding
someone juicier than Libby, most likely Bolton, who has NOT been asked to testify:

There are a LOT of reasons to believe this - Bolton is a very likely candidate for the leaker. Be sure to read the articles posted in the replies:

10. #1 is pure BS.
She could have easily contacted Libby months ago--before going to jail--to get a "personal release".

11. It is BS. I think she had to testify. Sounds like someone spilled the...
beans and she was probably in jail for nothing, from her perspective, or she had to testify to cover her behind.
