Repubbies are like the "evil universe" Enterprise crew in "Mirror, Mirror"

During that proverbial transporter malfunction between universes, the "good" members of the Enterprise were able to fake "being evil" to whatever degree they needed to, until they could get back.

The evil, parallel Enterprise crew members -- who held on to power through intimidation, assassination, and rage -- were incapable of even pretending to be "good," and quickly self-destructed...

13. If the pugs wielded absolute power absolutely, and do anything to win,

would they go back and assasinate all democratic threats against them, assuming one day such techonology was available (ie, Roswell)? Even without such technology they seem to be pretty prescient about who's a threat and who isn't. Like on Star Trek IV they go back to save humpback whales. The repukes would've circled the sun a few more time and gone back to try and kill the aliens the 1st time they communicated with the whales or kill all the whales thousands of years ago.
