I would like to cheer on you guys over in California for voting in a good person into office. I don't understand why A.S. put a repub stamp on his name. He is clearly a democrate. I don't know why more people aren't cheering him on.

People dont vote based on other states.

Listen, do you really care what the goveners are for places that have no power over you? No of course you dont. That is why you dont keep them in mind when you make your choice at the ballot box.

Nobody ever goes "Gee, New Mexico has ____ as a governer, so I think I will go with that"

People vote based on the people that are running.

I knew him back when he was a mere representative for northern NM, but he's stuck to his guns for a looong time and it's paid off. If the DNC wants an example of a moderate Democrat who can win in a piss-poor subrural state, well, look no further than Gov. Richardson!
