XM Stations on Directv starting Nov 15
No word yet on exactly what channels to be carried. Call Directv and tell them you want Air America and Ed Schultz!

XM Programming Added To DirecTV

XM Satellite Radio has gotten together with the satellite-TV provider in a deal that lets XM reach DirecTV's approximately 15 million customers nationwide. Beginning Nov. 15, 72 channels of XM music, children's programming and talk will become available through DirecTV in a move that nearly doubles DirecTV's audio offerings. There will be no extra charge to DirecTV customers.

1. I hope they don't take the existing music channels off DirecTV
But it says it will double the audio offerings so hopefully this is in addition to what they have now.

3. Oh cool!
I've had DirecTV for a year now and I am addicted to it. While in Korea a couple weeks ago, I was watching cable television in the hotel and not being able to bring up the program list and see what was on later was killing me!

Yes, bring on Air America and Big Ed!

4. Don't get your hopes up too much.
I am an XM radio subscriber.

But I get Sirius on DISH Satellite.

Just the music channels, though.

I wonder if it will be the same setup on DIRECT.

By the way, they did not take off the old DISH music (I don't think).

6. Will AAR be among the talk stations carried? If so, great, this will carry
it to the far flung, outer reaches of the country. Can some one rig up a low power transmitter to connect to the back of the box (digital output) and broadcast it?
