Will Maria Shriver have to hold teas with rich GOP bitties?
Maria Shriver, neice of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy and Edward M. Kennedy. Daughter of Sargent Shriver who ran with the great George McGovern as Vice President in 1972 and daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver will now have to look forward to being First Lady of a Republican Governor.

Will she attend GOP fund raisers, hold teas with GOP fatcats, entertain the Bush's and endorse and work for other GOP candidates or will she go an independent route and say "I supported my husband but I'm a Democrat at heart"??? It will be interesting to see.

3. Maria and Eunice
I think Maria and Eunice shamelessly dancing in Arnold's spotlight just shows that they don't give two shits and a squirt about government or politics or democracy or policy or the human condition. They only care about the limelight and the power and the glory. They would have happily stumped for Satan himself just to be in the spotlight again. They're obviously not choosy about the politicians they glom onto.

Fucking sellouts.

JFK and RFK are spinning like pinwheels in their graves.

Sounds like Maria will be right in her element, holding teas with rich GOP biddies! She doesn't give a fuck.

6. Eunice doesn't care
When forced into a decision -- her pet cause or Arnold -- she chose Arnold.

No one has principles anymore. I'm not talking about building Utopia, I'm talking about reality. Why couldn't she say, "Hey, son-in-law, you do what you want to do, but I'm not going onstage with you to support you and kiss your ass about it." If a relative of mine ran for office as a Republican, and wanted my personal stamp of approval on it, that's what I would do. "No hard feelings, but I can't support you, and may the best man win."

But no, we had the happy vision last night of the Kennedy-Shrivers openly celebrating the destruction of California, smiling in the confetti. I can't forgive them for that.

KINO -- Kennedy in Name Only!

9. Yep!
Everything you said! I feel this morning, like I did in '00 and '02. Numb and disgusted both! Ah nuld doesn't give a crap about the people of "calyfurnia" at all. Like Bush, he only wants the title for the ego trip. How could anyone vote for him, let alone Democrats? He never said anything of any political substance. He was a disaster in the only debate he participated in, which he rehearsed in advance. He refused to debate Davis, which if he had, probably would have been good for him. I am sure the media would have painted Davis as they did Gore after the debates with the village idiot. Ya know, smart ass know it all Liberal showing up the plain spoken every man repuke. We don't want our elected officials too be intelligent, we want someone we can go have a beer with. :argh: As for the Kennedys who showed up to support Ah nuld, all I can say is, great way to remember Bobbie and John and what they stood/died for. :-(

5. Why is everyone in such a state of shock over this???
Maria Shriver and the rest of her family are the kinds of people who move through high-society social circles. They belong to country clubs. Their kids all attend elite private schools and ivy league caliber universities. They are never affected by cuts in social spending. They never have to want for ANYTHING.

Now, tell me -- who does this have more in common with? The registered Democrats among the working and middle class, or the country-club Republicans whom you are all so shocked to see Maria and Eunice lining up with???

They're simply supporting their own, as they ALWAYS have done.

7. As I said on another thread...
Edited on Wed Oct-08-03 08:55 AM by Rowdyboy
I loved John Kennedy and I adored Bobby. The rest can go to Hell. They look out only for themselves as evidenced by Ted's hard work in getting Ronald Reagan elected in 1980 and now this joke. Piss on the whole damn family.

on edit: I shouldn't be posting today. I'm too angry to be rational. Forgive me.
