It's a great day to be a Democrat!
We have challenges before us, but our course is clear and our goals are just. Everyday, more and more people are seeing how corrupt Bush* and the republicans really are. To insure the election in California, the republicans have demonstrated they are willing to sell out every one of their plank positions in order to seize power. And the same dynamic of frustration and resentment toward ineffectual leadership will be tuned on Bush* in the next few months- the writing is definitely on the wall.

We have a responsibility to those who can’t speak for themselves; the disenfranchised, the elderly, the young and the poor. We have a responsibility to our allies to emplace a government that has peace, security and cooperation for the greater good as its core values. We have a responsibility to ourselves to fight for the ideas embodied in the Constitution and the hard won rights of all Americans. These challenges are a test of our resolve to see that Justice is administered equally and that everyone has the opportunity to improve their lives.

It’s a great day to be a Democrat- because we will not prostitute our values! We will not bow to the rightwing thugs whose jingoistic public theatre mocks the ideas our flag represents! And we won’t EVER quit because at the end of the day, we’re right and they’re wrong!

2. Something to keep in mind
California just elected a pro-gun control, pro-homosexual, pro-education governor.

3. But also a pro-tax-cut Republican
So how is going to fund all that education he claims to support?

9. I'm not saying he's good
I'm saying that is what the people voted for.

That means that people are voting for progressive issues, not the conservative agenda. They got hoodwinked in California, but when it comes to the Big Show, our candidates are the one's who will take it.

8. Bush was pro-choice, pro-Kyoto, pro-humility...
... until he was elected.

Ahnold won't let his wife wear pants. What does that tell you?

It tells me that none of these people can be trusted to keep any of their promises, Ahnold fucking Schwarzenegger included. This man is a sexist, homophobic right-wing asshole with an agenda. No different than Bush.

Mark my words.

Cheers.

10. My cat died yesterday, as a matter of fact.
I held him till he was gone. Cried.

Then I drove to the nearest shelter and got a cat out of a cage and gave it a home.

Mourn in the shower, the bathroom, when you're changing your underwear.

But get cracking now. There is everything to do.
