Let me share a recall fantasy with you...

Last night, as the Recall was being called for Schwarzenegger (with only 3% of precincts counted) I started to fantasize about Davis' "concession speech" I was hoping it would go something like this:

Good evening, my fellow Californians. It appears that this election has not gone the way we had hoped. I want to sincerely thank all the good people who helped in the effort to stop this disgusting repudiation of democracy, but it was for naught, because we now live in Bush's America, where a bloodthirsty rightwing press will do anything BUT report on the issues, and the lazy, uninterested voter laps it up without doing any real homework. I know that it's traditional to give a "gracious" concession speech, but hey, I'm the "aloof, unlikeable Gray Davis", right, so to all of you who voted for that airheaded muscle head - To hell with you. I wish Mr. Schwarzenegger no ill, but you voters deserve the government you are going to get.

Last, most of our fiscal crisis was DIRECTLY caused by Bush's pals at Enron's jiggering of the CA power system. I challenge you, Mr. Schwarzenegger, to hold those bastards accountable for ROBBING this state of billions of dollars, if you do anything less, you should be held accountable by the voters, just as I have.
