I've been wacked by Terminal Sadness

to experience america going down the drain.

I'll revive to fight the bushgang - but not today. Today I'm just too sad.

2. Be careful!
Please don't get so sad that the sadness envelopes you. My sister became obsessed with her hatred of Bush and Co, so much so that she embraced every letter written to DU or Buzzflash by people who despaired of never seeing the end of this neo-con junta. On May 17 she committed suicide and her suicide note included many letters and comments from DU and other liberal sites. She lived in Texas as I do, and the Idiot-in-Chief pretty well destroyed this state before he went on the destroy this country. I'm in my fifties as my sister was..our parents were Holocaust survivors, and when we were very little girls our father sat us in front of a very small black and white television and insisted we watch the MCCarthy hearings. I will never forget what he said "This is why Hitler happened. This should never happen here!" Obviously, my poor sister could not discern between the Republican Party then and the Republican Party now...she wasn't that wrong.

3. so very sorry about your sister
But both parties have shifted significantly. The parties of 50 years ago have very little to do with what they are today.

I hope you and your family have found some peace. Prayers your way.
