Judiciary Cmte Q for Miers: "Is it true you once said that G.W. Bush was |
|
'the most brilliant man you had ever met'? Do you still feel the same way?"
Do you think any Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee would ask Miers such a question during her confirmation hearings?

. . Well, he nominated me didn't he?" . . and everybody would laugh and she'd be able to show how she has such a great sense of humor.
And the Dem who asked it would be seen as a sourpuss whiner who was using a SC nomination hearing to get in nasty digs on our dear president.
I hope none of them are stupid enough to ask it.
As far as Bush being brilliant . . he is running our government for the second term - and we're not. Even if he didn't engineer one bit of it he was smart enough to let Rove and Norquist and others do the dirty work . . and to follow their instructions.

4. The questioner could add, "And don't just say 'He nominated me, didn't he'?" |

1. If she answers yes to both of those questions |
|
that should be enough to disqualify her for two reasons either she is 1) incredibly stupid herself or 2) she is a big liar.

2. Follow up. Did you ever meet a man who could button his shirt? |
|
Did you ever meet a man who didn't say "more better?"

ON EDIT: pre-2000
I doubt anybody is gonna ask this question.
1. George Bush ain't dumb 2. When she said it was probably an "ex-ag-ur-a-shun" in some kind of fawning context.

6. well, she's been repaid for sucking up |
|
That's the only way you get anywhere with Bush - forget all that "experience" and "qualifications" stuff. You just suck his ego and he's yours.
She's either a moron or a sociopath or both.

8. Most likely, a "Saturday Night Live" sketch will steal the thunder |
|
of Kennedy or Biden on this David Frum recollection, and keep my suggested question from being asked.
It's still great material though, isn't it?!
