I'm in the Bay Area, and we have this delightful (NOT) www.ksfo.com. There is a computer show on Saturday AM, which is quite good. Occasionally I listen to the programming that follows, just to see what they are up to...

Well, this guy Gold was on last weekend, and he used the term "rats", over and over and over. I visited freeperland today to read an article someone had posted. More references to "rats"... If I ever hear that reference made in my presence, I will probably go postal on the individual.

How about considering abandoning the name calling, take (and retain) the higher ground, and own it. If they want to call us names, let them; it reflects their apparent and complete ignorance of facts, and is a reflection of their lack of character and dignity. We should not bear the same traits.

Instead of the name-calling energy, let's find solutions. And no, I am anything but a wuss... I just think there are better ways to approach this than name-calling. We need to educate the masses.

Taking the higher ground will just mean a longer fall. The repukes do not debate on facts. They do not play fair. And every time we refrain from fighting back, we get hosed. After working with mentally deranged people, I can tell you that you cannot talk them out of irrational behavior, especially when they are motivated by the darker emotions that drive the reich wing.

If we continue to play by the rules and attempt to reason with the irrational, we will be crushed even faster. The only way to avoid falling victim to their hatred is to fight back using every weapon we can get our hands on.
