Recall is not limited to California
Folks the Repubs have started a movement that will have national
consequences.

here are two examples started oh since the succesful recall
of Davis

http://www.ohio.com/mld/ohio/6634972.htm

http://www.wvi.com/~timothyw/recall_teddy/

Also efforts to recall McCain are under way... folks
I am starting to be far more possitive about the recall.

Daryll Issa and his pals just sowed the seeds, and the
whirwind is just starting.

Yes this is a revolt folks, and not one that will favor the
boy who wanted to be king.

I weep for my nation, becuase this is chaos, goody... as close
as we have come to an actual civil war in over a century.

4. I think Perry COULD be defeated...
...if a recall were to be instituted in TX, because I remember seeing a poll three-four months ago (sorry I don't have a link) that showed his approval rating at only 44-percent. However, it's irrelevant b/c TX doesn't have a recall provision in their state law.

As for NY, I've seen Pataki w/ some very low figures so he would likely be vulnerable, but I don't know whether NY has the recall or not.

5. Well most of these recalls
had NO CHANCE before yesterday... as others are
pointing out. Now that Davis has been recalled, I think
all bets will be off...

And yes given how the economy is doing (thanks to DC and
unfunded mandates), all 49 Governors are in danger, and
the only thing saving some is there are no recall provisions
in their state.

I have a feeling that we are just beginging to see the very
initial effects of this...

Folks it just may get very bumpy from here on out.

Worst case, we will have utter and unrelenting chaos across the
nation... ah 1858, it is reminding me more and more of that
fateful year.

2. McCain one is old news ....
Issa probably got his idea from them (its coming from the numbnut right in Az.), but that one lost some steam and it may not be binding since he's holding a Federal and not state office (McCain say he would honor the decision)

If anything Gov. Pawlenty of Minn. is out there for a recall

3. Recall Kulongoski doesn't have backing
Repugs are putting all of their money into the measure to defeat the temporary income tax increase.

7. These are not isolated.
Recall the Nation Magazine article about Recalling the 20th Century and returing to the McKinley era.. The piece by William Greider. Rolling back the 20th c. Anti Tax orgainizations want to make it so government can be drowned in a bath tub.. It is not really about protecting individual liberty, but from taking their funds from corporate monopolits, they want their corporate sponsors to be insulated from any kind of oversight.
The effects privitatization will have on Social Security, Education, health care. John Q public has no idea what they are up to.
Anti tax orgainzations have gotten an almost total control of Republican members of Congress and Republican legislators in California to sign no new tax pledges. This on top of decaded of cutting taxes for the rich.
Of course these groups are behind all these recall efforts. They are crippling our ability to govern ourseles, due to their ownership by corporate interests.
This means American democracy is dead..

8. Yes I know that article
and what I can say is unintended consequences...

Teh nation has been here before, 1858, we know how that
played and 1900, which was followed by a progressive era.

In a way these boys are stoking the popular anger, and
they do not intend the results they may get.

Granted one side effect will probably be many a state
repealing recall laws

9. Precisely why we have to recall the Nazi! Fight fire with fire, folks!
We need to get over this "get over it" attitude - make a stand, and fight!

10. McCain cannot be recalled
The terms of members of Congress are set by the Constitution and cannot be altered by the states. The only way that they can be removed is by expulsion by the house they belong to.

11. Same thing....
Same thing with redistricting before it's time.

And yes, please. Recall Rick Perry. This guy is so evil and smug. I honestly can't stand it. In Texas, we're cutting funding to social programs that help single mothers so we can call 3 special sessions on redistricting.

He's a tool.
