I was actively encouraged to debate a point - so I chose the CIA leak. Not only does my initial post appear removed, they banned me - and yet their posters are actually saying 'let him stay' - and they wonder why the word 'fascist' is tossed around so 'liberally' (pardon the pun) in regards to FReeperville.

Scary stuff - I can only hope that our Country doesn't truly fall into the same slippery slope.. (I know it kind of is already.. but there's always a chance for recovery)

But, most folks who are banned from DU are just flat out neo-conservative disruptors.

It means that the folks running FreeRepublic aren't listening to the folks posting on FreeRepublic as closely as the folks running DU are listening to the folks posting on DU.

Inviting a select few over who can actually spell and don't live in a trailer park and organize a debate on issues.

Source a few smart ones, create a thread and issue a challenge to come over and debate on DU.

See what the cream of Freepsville can do in a civil setting on important issues. They are not all idiots over there. I have seen some sharp minds (very few mind you).

Just an idea.
