Fox billboard sticks it to CNN again
Edited on Wed Oct-08-03 02:24 PM by CatWoman

Paula Zahn's new show on CNN is performing so poorly that even archrival Fox wants CNN to bring back Connie Chung.

At least that's what a comical new billboard Fox erected late Tuesday catty-cornered from CNN Center says.

"Connie Come Home. CNN Needs You," the billboard reads. "Brought to You by Your Friends at Fox News."

I guess that this is the mentality of Fox News. This is what we are up against.

It is just sad how immature Fox can be. But it doesn't suprirse me. And it will probably mesh well with the mentality of the peoople who watch the channel.

3. Begala
This may have something to do with Begala the other day on Crossfire pointing out that in a new poll it showed Fox viewers are stupid.

5. Someone needs to make a billboard of this.

WASHINGTON - A majority of Americans have held at least one of three mistaken impressions about the U.S.-led war in Iraq, according to a new study released Thursday, and those misperceptions contributed to much of the popular support for the war.

The three common mistaken impressions are that:

U.S. forces found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

There's clear evidence that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein worked closely with the Sept. 11 terrorists.

People in foreign countries generally either backed the U.S.-led war or were evenly split between supporting and opposing it.

I noticed Paul Begala on Crossfire a few days ago hooting and hollering at Fox viewers and telling them they should switch to viewing CNN to be better informed. But it doesn't look to me like CNN is doing such a shit hot job of informing the public either. They might be somewhat better than Faux, but the CNN stats aren't anything I'd be boasting about either.

10. This is the way they get publicity
They're so full of themselves, they don't CARE if people think they're a bunch of pricks...

11. Right wingers aren't afraid to fight
Our side are a bunch of wimps who continue to get their asses kicked.

CNN is not our side, we don't have a side in the media.

But look how proudly right Fox is. Where is any elected Democrat or left leaning media that is proud to be left.

Remember when Pelosi took over from Gephardt? The first thing she did was to try to convince everyone she wasn't so bad, she wasn't really that much of a lefty.

So many on our side acts like they are ashamed to be Democrats.

Everyone on their side acts like they are proud to be Republicans.

It's no wonder the American people see us as weak.

12. I get it
It's a pretty good stick at CNN, because it was called a "coup" when they hired Zahn away from Fox.

The problem with TV news is that all the networks seek to improve their newcasts by hiring a "personality" instead of doing a better job at covering the news.

That's about the only reason newspapers have stayed in business this long. the networks are just all about fluff and appearance, so print media can still supply day-old news and make a profit from it.
