BAM!! Meet Herr Gropenator's dad...what you haven't been told so far....
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 08:55 AM by Skinner
I'm very curious as to why it only took me about an hour to find the article noted below, while none of the recent mainstream articles referenced this information at all.

How is it that the Simon Wiesenthal Center failed to update their information to more accurately reflect Gustav's activities during WWII? Did Arnold's gifts totalling nearly $3 million convince them to keep some details under wraps?

With all of the resources at Arnold's disposal, does anyone seriously think that Arnold didn't have a clue about his father's activities during WWII?

Terminator?
Wendy Leigh
March 9, 2003

<http://web.mid-day.com/smd/play/2003/march/46822.htm>

Excerpts:

"The actor, who was born in 1947, had no idea his father was a Nazi until 1984, when he contacted the Wiesenthal Centre for information regarding his father’s war record.

He was told about the Nazi Party membership and was assured that Gustav had not been a member of the SS, nor was he on any war crimes list.

But that is not the full story. Documents lodged in the Austrian State Archives in Vienna, only now available as 30 years have elapsed since Gustav’s death, give the most detailed account yet of that role.

They show that not only did he join the Nazi party but was also a member of the SA (Sturmabteilung or stormtroopers), the brown-shirted Nazi paramilitary wing made up of the most enthusiastic of Hitler’s followers.

1. I read where arnie's supporters were acting like "brown
shirts" themselves toward another candidate and some nuns who were protesting arnie the swartzenegger.

4. Pro-Arnold stop in Bakersfield
On the front page of the newspaper there were two pictures of a Arnold supporter tearing up a protestor's sign. They even printed the woman's name who tore up the sign.

In today's paper, there were 9 letters to the editor criticizing the woman, some were calling her a fascist.

This woman (Mary Ellen Reagle) now has to live with the shame of having her name plastered all over the newspaper.

I only hope that her boss sees it and fires her for sending a negative image about the company. I'm trying to find out where she works to put pressure on the company.

He can't hide and coverup things now.
Every time he does something it'll

It could be fun.

3. I had already read this, somewhere on DU, I think
While I am very disappointed that AS is now Governor, and I certainly don't want, God forbid, that he ever run for President, I don't think his father's sins should be on his head. His pro-Hitler remarks, however, are even more understandable when you read this. If he loved his father, some of this had to have rubbed off. So, while it is something he definitely should come clean about, including the sex abuse allegations, I don't think he should necessarily have to pay for his father's sins, but have to explain how he feels about his father's actions.

9. Repug Hatch is already working on it
And with electronic touchscereen "voting" (once it's fully in place), the Busheviks could pass an amendment that everyone must wear a slice of bologna in their shoes 8 hours a day.

Oh no, Ahnold is PERFECT for the 2017 Imperial Succession.

You know...Emperor I'm-a-Bushevik-but-my-name-ain't-Bush-so-stop-saying-we-are-a-hereditary-Empire.

Somebody has to fill that slot.

6. Exactly
This all happened a long time before he was even born. I can bet his father probably had very little choice in joining up with the Nazi party. And Arnold CANNOT BE PRESIDENT. He WAS NOT BORN IN THIS COUNTRY. Please take some time to brush up on the Constitution.

Gustav actually volunteered , before it was legal to do so as an Austrian citizen.

16. You would be making a very bad bet in regards to Gustav enlisting...
Did you even the quotes in my post? Here's the eact post you apparently overlooked:

"After enlisting in the Wehrmacht in November 1939, he served as a sergeant major in the Feldgendarmerie — the German military police."

"Enlisting" in this case means "volunteering". As an Austrian citizen, it was not mandatory for Gustav to join the German military. In other words, he wasn't drafted.

22. "Resist"? The Austrians WANTED to be annexed by Germany!...
If it was a matter of being intimidated into joining a branch of the German military, why didn't Gustav choose to join the Germany Army? Austrians weren't required to join the German Army, either. Why did Gustav:

1) Join the Nazi Party of his own free will;

...and then...

2) Volunteer to serve with the SA, otherwise known as the "brownshirts", one of Nazi Germany's most fanatical organizations?

I know I'm a newbie here - but I been trying to expose these FACTS in my posts.
Hollywood has known the truth for some time...they have covered , ADL has covered , Weisenthal has spun.

Neo nazi Metzger called into the Medved show yesterday and came right out with it ....laying out the facts of the Weisenthal ruse, laying out Arnies close ties to DAVID DUKE.

and how he has no respect for Arnie because he does not say what he really believes.

If he isn't nazi party and doesn't say or do racist stuff they won't care. They didn't care and it backfired.

21. "If I can have a child until he's 7, he's mine."
Don't remember who said it, but it tends to be true. For some reason I always thought Arnold's father was dead or just not around. This former Nazi(SA)-turned policeman RAISED him. A disciplined household?
I bet. I also bet there was a strong Nazi influence. At the very least there doesn't seem to be an air of guilt or teaching how wrong the entire Nazi-Hitler movement was.
