his show is often on in the office and he mentions it about 10 times a show He was a Morning Zoo “druggie alcoholic” shock jock b4 he started a 12step program and became a rightwing talk jock. He does disagree with Bush a lot

4. Here Comes The Flames...Beck At Least Has A Few Principles
Yesterday I heard another hate monkey, Mike Gallagher, take a bunch of his hive-dwellers to task for looking the other way on Gropinator's roming fingers. He had one bible-beltin' 40 something female on the ropes (dreadful visual) who couldn't get off the "Clinton did it" recording and Gallagher asked her if she thought groping was adultery (note: no mention of sexual assault)? The lady stammered on about Clinton, Clinton, Clinton...Gallagher pressed her again...she finally went silent...he asked a third time...she finally said "No, it's not adultery", Gallagher then goes on and asks if it's ok for married men to come up and grope her. This lady say..."Well, if it was Arnold..."...he hung up on her. My wife and I had to pinch ourselves...we were tuning in for another round of Right Wing hate and we actually heard the bully treatment turned on one in the hive. One of the few bright moments of a dreary election day.

There's an undercurrent in the GOOP who aren't too happy with Ahnold...the McClintock faction...fundies...who Beck seems to be playing to...as is Gallagher...as was Curtis Slimeball when I heard him sit in for Vanity last week. This might not be a bad thing...especially if Arnold has to confront his sexual past.

BTW...If we're going to tear apart someone's sexual past, isn't one's single days viewed differently than when married...as in Arnold's gropings after he bought into the Kennedy clan.

8. given the choice of gallagher or beck...i'd take beck
they are my two talk options if i'm in the car from 9-noon. easy pick. beck seems to be a principled conservative who blasts bush and the repubs on a regular basis. gallagher is an ass compared to beck.

disclaimer...i am not often in the car from 9-noon so beck may also be an ass. maybe i just got lucky : grin :

5. I hear a little of him once a week.
Sounds like he is just cashing in on hate radio. Every one saw the money Rush made so want to do the same.

6. I can't stand that guy...
Glenn Beck = Human Repelent
I can listen to Limbaugh no problem...but this guy I generally have to turn off after a few minutes...he went to the Mike Gallagher school of Jackass...although he did seem to have it right about Arnold the other day...

7. I heard him mocking a black speaker once
I don't know who it was I, since I turned in in the middle of the show, but he was picking on a speech from someone the day before. His idea of tearing apart the speech was to read the whole thing in a minstrelesque voice. He didn't criticize anything in the speech, didn't use any facts to counter the speech, he just used an exagerated (and not very good) old-style minstrel voice to mock it. Turned me off badly. I wrote to San Antonio radio station that carries it, and got a sarcastic letter in return from a station manager who said "I'll mention it next time I'm with Glen."

From what I've heard from him, he's typical Repub-- all hate and self-righteous emotion, no reason, no logic, no understanding of anything beyond his own nose. Which does not sound like a typical recovering alcoholic.

9. He screams way too much......
so I can't really hear what he's saying....and he has a stock of "comic" voices to mimic whomever he's quoting.....all at a zillion decibels.

He's very pro-war, pro-Bush. No redeeming value whatsoever.

11. As stated above...
he says he's a recovering alcoholic, but I think he should really find a 12 step program that would put his emotional level in recovery.

He tends to yell at people, and his audience. He has the unfortunate ability to be exceptionally irritating, even when he is pandering. Beck 'demands' the same truth he says he tosses out to the masses, but like everyone else, he runs from the truth whenever it is presented.

In essence, he is the typical RW hypocrite.
