Last night W spoke at his first MAJOR fund-raiser since LAST MAY???
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 08:55 AM by underpants
According to the Yahoo news caption below. Is this how they are going to make it seem like that is NOT all he does?

This is akin to the "combat deaths" and "combat deaths since May 1st" qualifiers to keep the numbers as low as possible.

What is the line where "major party find-rasiers" is crossed?

BTW W is attending a fund rasier again today in Kentucky.

President Bush (news - web sites) speaks at the Republican National Committee (news - web sites) gala, Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003 in Washington. The $1,500-per-ticket evening event at the Washington Hilton was Bush's first major party fund-raiser since last May, when he headlined a Republican congressional dinner that raised $22 million for GOP efforts to keep control of Congress. The RNC gala raised at least $14 million. (AP Photo/Susan Walsh)

1. But, but, but, this is the first REPUBLICAN fundraiser
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 09:03 AM by revcarol
since last May. He has "spoken" at a ZILLION ones for HIMSELF.

What a way to parse things. And, yes, that's ALL he does: push the Repug line and get money for doing it sometimes. The other times he does it on my nickel.

On edit: Ya gotta laugh because the Republicans sold out cheap. He gets $2000 a plate for his, they only got $1500...and the Republican take was DOWN TO $14 million from $22 million, this with a SITTING INCUMBENT PRESIDENT. Even some repugs are not showing up.

6. I couldn't fit "party" on the subject line
So I guess now we have "party" fund-raisers and "W's" fund-raisers and varying degrees of each in order to qualify them.

3. This is all BS - that is ALL Dubya does
Raise money, raise money, raise money!

And just like on his "working" vacations where he was out "working" to raise money, he was
not working to resolve the mid east crisis,
not working to resolve the Iraqi chaos,
not working to stimulate the ecomony,
not working to increase jobs,
not working to fund education,
not working to protect the environment,
not working (I could go on and on)!

5. We need a calendar with all of his fund raising dates in the past two
months alone listed.

It should be sent to the liars who published that misleading article to combat the lies.

8. August 18, 2003 -- Portland, Oregon
The Oregonian's editorial page went to great pains the next day to tell all us benighted Beaver Staters just what an honor we peasants had just experienced to have Lil George swoop into our fair state, pick up a cool couple million at a private party, and disappear again.

Oh, and we'll need to shorten the school year again because we don't have funding. Not that any graduates will be looking for jobs.

10. He was here in Indy on 9-5-03. I was across the street from where he
was speaking. Snipers were on the roof, security was very tight. It looked like something you would see in a 3rd world country. Very creepy, very surreal.

7. Someone should take the amount of money Bush &...
Cheney have raised, divide it by the number of soldiers that have died in Iraq since the beginning of the invasion. The result is how much money they have raised on the body of each and every fallen soldier! This man is disgusting!
