News from the Arab world concerns me....
So the president of Yemen phones Syrian president al-Assad to offer his support and denounces Israel's Sunday air strikes.

Jordan's central bank suddenly decides freezing Hamas assets was an administrative error.

Oman's move is to exempt Palestinian goods from import taxes.

Saudi Arabia once again denounces Israel and calls on the UN to get 'em.

And Kuwait just wants to keep doing business with Syria.

Is it me, or are people lining up here?

2. So why does that disturb you?
What in God's name do you expect the Arabs to do? Keep taking shit from the US and Israel while they are labeled the 'bad guys?'

4. "bad guys"
everybody's labelling everybody bad guys, thats why this situation will never go away. How can cooler heads prevail when you have two bloodstained ex-paramilitary Parkinson's patients (PPPs?) running the show, and when these two PPP's are mediated by an illiterate redneck? We should expect the apocalypse <looking at watch> any minute now.

5. Poor widdle beleaguered Israel
with one of the world's most powerful militaries--thanks to the US taxpayer. What Israel wants, Israel gets- no matter that they treat Arabs as if they were lesser forms of life that contaminate the pure gene pool. It is essential that Arabs be perennially portrayed as terrorists and all knowledge of Israel's policy of apartheid barbarism be crushed with charges of anti-semitism. My heart does not bleed for Israel but is filled with profound disgust.

16. Portrayed?
Arabs seem to do a lot of the self portrayal for the role of terrorists. Just today, another had an acting debut.

6. Proxy Fight!
We already have Israel lined up as "our" proxy. Now, the Palestinians are being "groomed" to take on Israel.

They aren't players, they're puppets, and the Palestinians are going to be in a whole big world of hurt soon. And I fear that the radical-Islamist world will use that as a "reason" to destroy Israel (or at least try to).

The prize? Control of 80% of the remaining inexpensively-pumped petroleum supply.

The worst part is that Israel, whose politicians ought to know better, are walking right into the pit of quicksand, all in the name of national pride.

8. this will never end.
this is not going to end anytime soon. the only way this will stop is if they completely destroy each other. israel has nuclear weapons and is probably willing to use them. i mean they DO kill innocent civilians. i dont support israel's actions but i do recognize their right to exist as an independent nation.

9. does anyone honestly care anylonger
no disrespect to palestinians, israelis or whatever, but its not likely anything will get solved the coming 50 years so why not focus on things that we can fix instead

11. I don't!
Why this country has the least bit of interest in the two clown schools known as Israel and Palestine punching each other silly is a total mystery to me.

12. I care. Our tax money is being used to support Israeli extremists
... and apartheid. It's bad for Israel, and it's certainly bad for Palestine. I don't know if there's any way to have a peaceful Israel/Palestine, but I do know that our ongoing maintainence of Israel as a "thug state" for the US is bad for everybody but US business interests and religious fundamentalists in the area (both Jewish and Muslim).

17. All of these are legitimate cause for alarm
I think you phrased it properly. People are lining up to be Bush's (I almost said "our", as in America, but then I thought better of it) next victims.

Is it WW3 yet?
