Republican E-mail I need to verify

My sister just sent me an e-mail she received from a Repub cousin. My sister asked me if it was true. I don't know so I need help from someone who knows.
The e-mail is a forward from Cdr. Hamilton McWhorter USN (ret.)

It states that Senator Hillary Rotten Clinton (his words)was the only politician who refused to meet with Gold Star Mothers when they made a trip to DC. The entire e-mail is filled with other things that she is supposedly guilty of. It just trashes her. Does anyone know if she met with them, or if she didn't, why not? Doesn't sound like her to me.

Then, I also pulled up my copy of the National Catholic Register's essay on the lies about the Iraqi WMDs - called "Is there Anything Left that Matters?" It's a doozy. Here's where you find it...

just taken completely out of context. Yes, Senator Clinton did not meet with these 'Gold Star Mothers' on their trip to DC. Of course, she was in New York at the time, they didn't have an appointment. They simpy walked up to her office and asked to see her. And have released a statement ridiculing this email as absurd.

1. This is false. Don't take my word for it. Check the Gold Star Mother's website yourself.

2. Cmdr McWhorter is a real person, but did not write the message.

3. On behalf of Cmdr McWhorter and the Gold Start Mothers, please forward these facts to the person who sent you the original as well as to anyone to whom you forwarded the original. If you don't think the Gold Star Mothers and Cmdr McWhorter deserve your respect then by all means, let the lie stand, and be the very person the one who wrote this claimed Hillary to be.

I have done that. I especially like it when I get a message that has about a dozen embedded messages before you get to the point. I hit reply all on each message, then copy the addresses in the To section to the Bcc of the message I am sending out.

You can get some really good hate mail that way from complete strangers. It is amazing how telling somebody the simple truth with no opinion (you will note I say nothing about "Hillary good, Republicans bad" in that message) can still piss off someone.

Typically it's just along the lines of "I would prefer it if you didn't send me anymore shit like this" (what shit? the truth?). I don't even reply to that. The real entertainment comes when some idiot wants to ARGUE the point!

That's why you blind-copy everyone. No reason to subject them to all the followups.

I've had a couple of those go for quite a long time. I have found that if you completely ignore the insults and keep replying to the few points between the insults, most eventually stop insulting, start listening ... then abruptly disappear before their worldview comes completely apart. I'm always hoping one will hang in there, but the only ones who do are the rare few who resort to nothing but insults.

Also, I have extreme doubts as to whether "McWhorter" is a real person.
