David Gregory....touting Iraq success, re: latest spin patrol; Bush junta going about with new PR campaign--new, improved occupation

DG: members of Iraq coalition are standing up to, resisting US on new troops (Turkish) coming in, general tenor of US control

BTW, my sister, (a judge) first filled me in, STS, on the tossing of the salad

6. I'm not watching, but I'll channel it
{The great Gratnak* goes into a trance to contact the spirits of the broadcast and cable ether, and succeeds in channeling the Tweety suckfest.}

TWEETY: Are you the greatest media mogul ever? Pardon me while I get on my hands and knees under the desk. Go ahead.

WELCH: Thank you, Chris. I certainly (a little to the left, no MY left) am. Please proceed to tell me how wonderful I am.

TWEETY (voice muffled from under the desk): I think you're the absolute greatest chairman General Electric ever had, ever could have, or ever will have! I'd like to have your children!

WELCH: Well, we've been working on an experimental program at GE so that may soon be possible (ouch, no teeth, stupid!).

TWEETY: Oh bliss! Please tell us how wonderful George W. Bush is, and by the way, thank you so much for helping him get elected. Have you decided what to do with your tax cut yet?

WELCH: I'm torn between taking a bath in unicorn blood or simply buying the moon. Which one do you suppose will create more jobs?

TWEETY (emerging from under the desk): All done, sir. Thank you again for deigning to appear on my program. Hot towel?

*Think the old Johnny Carson schtick of the Amazing Carnak. Okay, quit thinking about it, because it's much funnier than this will be.

REALLY disgusting pig JD Heyward (sp?), perpetually red-faced redneck from AZ is on now, against Rangel.

EDIT: make that Hayworth, not Heyard.....sorr-ee

he's one of the WORST!

Heyward: Sadam Hussein is himSELF a WMD........

how lame is THAT?

using the self-discrediting Kay report now.....even LYING about what it said about the two car garage-full of toxins

he said ONE CAR garage! why do they have to lie about EVERYthing?

Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 06:24 PM by julka
can't wait for that

EDIT for correct name: Hayworth

meanwhile, Hayworth demonstrates himself to be a nauseating cretin, now LYING about Clinton decimating the military, in response to Rangel's assertion that enlistments are DOWN.

Also, his philtrum is very wide, shallow, almost non-existent; a fairly obvious sign of heavy drinking pregnant mommy....lots of attendant prenatal brain damage. makes sense

24. I abhor this lie about Clinton decimating the military ...because
I specifically remember hearing that the reductions of bases and humans was all planned out and agreed to within the DOD and between the DOD and the administration. It was reported in all the new3spapers and discussed on TV. How can a President unilaterally declare that the military is being reduced? I wish I had time to look up the details. This is a blatant lie that right wing mouths keep repeating.

And unless those goddam Spirits of the Broadcast and Cable Ether were just jerking my chain again, I stand by my trance-induced transcript.

Of course, those SBCE bastards have been known to play a little "prank" on the Great Gratnak from time to time. And surf porn websites, which explains all "those" addresses in my cache and history. Really! The same goes for those, uh, DVD rentals on my credit card!

13. OK it's jD Hayworth
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 06:35 PM by julka
found this amazing bit of twisted logic from Hayworth:

Setting aside the question of how much contact there was between Al Qaeda and Saddam, it was Saddam's invasion of Kuwait in 1990 that set off a chain of events that led inexorably to 9/11. Don't take my word for it. Here is what Time magazine wrote in the October 1, 2001 issue, published shortly after the 9/11 attacks: "for the real casus belli is the US troop presence in his country dating to the military buildup before the 1991 Gulf War precipitated by Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait." In police terms, Saddam would be an accessory to the 9/11 attacks.

ACCESSORY? Police terms?

http://www.chronwatch.com/featured/contentDisplay.asp?aid=4285

and I like the juxtaposition with the TIME quote, so that one might easily think that TIME considers SH an accessory (before or after the fact) to 911.

that guy is really one of the more loathsome creatures they wheel onstage to lie about what's going on

and hahahahahaha!

Welch is on now.......chiron says, "Jack, Straight from the gut!!!"

lavage, indeed

note that the idiotic link posted above uses the favorite meme of the pugthugs: Bush haters. too bad the only place one hears the disingenuousness of that particular propaganad tack is here.

got some linx on that?

sounds like quite a story.

Matthews is actually giving him a bit of a time over the leak story, reminding Welch that it isn't just a beltway story, but that a CRIME was comitted.

laughing it up now, though

22. well, well, here it is
The family continues to have a stake, estimated by one source at about ten million dollars, in the Fremont Group, a private investment company, on whose board of directors sits another former Secretary of State, George Shultz. Much of the family's private banking is handled by Citigroup, which is chaired by former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin. The family has equity investments with Merrill Lynch and Goldman, Sachs. Among the family's business partners is General Electric. A spokesman for Jack Welch, the chairman of G.E., says that the family threw a party for him in the nineteen-nineties in Saudi Arabia, and that Welch "considers them good business partners." One American diplomat says, "You talk about your global investors, it's them. They own part of Microsoft, Boeing, and who knows what else." Others note that the family has been awarded contracts to help rebuild American military installations, including the Khobar Towers, which were damaged in a terrorist attack that killed nineteen servicemen in 1996.

16. Matthews isn't discussing the big news about HIMSELF
what the fuck... he gets outed as the source of the Rove Wilson's wife is "fair game" comment in Newsweek and he still hasn't said a peep about it even though he's talking about the leak. You'd think one of his guests would turn the tables, except the guests hardly are savvy on the issue.

19. did you see McClellan's press conference yesterday or Tuesday?
a reporter came out point blank and ASKED him whether or not Rove told Matthews that Plame "is fair game."

all he could do was repeat over and over that he wasn't going to play the "rumor and innuendo game," asserting that "we all know who they are," in reference to those who would speak ill for any reason of the junta.

without, of course, naming any names. too bad the spineless press didn't say, "NO, we DON't know who they are! why don't you give us just ONE name????"

18. It is astounding to me that a flippant senile old prick like Welch could
be the CEO of a dry cleaners, much less a Fortune 5 corporation. (Asssuming GE was in the top 5, just a guesss)

Apparently brains are not prerequisites...so just what the hell are???

20. my brother worked for GE for almost ten years
knows Welch. HATES him.

most everybody there HATES him.

when my brother quit, they had a big party, and almost everybody there both told him how lucky he was to be getting out, AND asked (on the QT) if there was any room at his new place.

they were in the midst of huge management layoffs at the time....my brother had to commute to Cleveland from Milwaukee, to do the job of a guy they laid off, just because they could make anybody they wanted do the work of two, three, sometimes four people. just to "improve productivity"

that's the main reason people hate working there; aside from what a sleazy, slimey company it is
