How about just an "Agree' or 'Disagree'
Islamic "terrorists" perception

Am I foolish to worry about our support for, and/or association with, the Democratic Liberal Hollywood elites, or for that matter any part of the entertainment industry.

I am for free speech, however I'm afraid, they (the Hollywood elites) are surely being perceived (correctly or not) by the Islamic Fundamentalists - as the ones pumping out filth and immorality across the world? I am just guessing that this is possibly one of the reasons our country is so hated, at least by the Muslim world.

For instance, even though I may agree with Al Frankin, I can't imagine that his recent book and verbal utterances did not enrage religious Muslims.

Am I off the wall ? KR

1. yes
the only one that Al Franken irritates is fundies, right wingers,
liars and kooks.

I doubt that Islamic fundamentalists even know who he is.

By the way, what's with the hollywood elite stuff? Last time I
looked they were merely Americans with opinions.

3. no
anything that causes fundamentalists to hate us we should continue to do. The fact of the matter is fundamentalists will choose any reason to hate, because hate is all they have. intolerance and prohibition are the marks of fundamentalism, so we should turn away from intolerance and prohibition wherever it is found.

4. another thing
Islamic fascist terrorists hate "moral" Christians the same as they do practicing homosexuals - their hate is indiscriminate.

Remember after September 11th Pat Robertson actually said that Sept 11 was God's punishment against the USA for tolerating the homosexuals and the NAACP? One could argue that Pat Robertson was advocating the attacks on Sept 11th as Gods Inimitable Will. This is why progressive minded people shun fundamentalism wherever they find it.

If you think Hollywood caused the terrorists to attack, you need to turn off FOx News and go for a walk.

5. If God is God
Although I did not agree with RObertson, nor do I like him, if God is God - then at least don't you have to say He allowed it whether or not it was His will? KR

6. They don't hate us for our movies,
they hate our foreign policy. And if you look real close at some of the things done in the name of oil- and land-grab, you might think they have a point.

If I post what I want to post, it's against the rules.
ON EDIT:
So, I'll go easy....

I should, at least, say that I think your saying "He" allowed 9-11 to happen sounds like fundamentalist crap. Here's a letter you should read:

7. I Hate That Term
The "Hollywood elite". How much power to stars actually have? Only as much as the people who own them (the real elites -- but you can't say that in America) will allow them to have.

I love how Hannity, O'Reilly, and company can get away with demonizing the "Hollywood elite"; yet if progressives challenge the status quo, they're guilty of "class warfare" or even "conspiracy theory".
