Lived there until 1992 when I moved to Texas, just in time for the Bush* takeover. I still have family living in California. I am sorry this happened to my home state and I sure as heck don't want it to become what Bush* made of Texas.

Among the fallacy of the recall was that everyone here in Sac does not understand what is going on. Repub claims to "open" the books are absurd as the law requires them to be as such. Many more will be watching, and this includes the likes of McClintock, as to whether Jeb Bush will be running in here to close them down as the Bush family has done elsewhere. They do so love their secrecy, their smoke & mirrors as is plainly seen nationally and in Florida on a daily basis. But then again it is all like...

21. Texas roads aren't what they used to be.

The rural roads are still fantastic. 70mph limits, even on two lane ranch-market and farm-market routes, wide shoulders, good condition.

However, they got defunded a decade or so ago, so in the major metropolitan areas, there's a good bit of mess. I-35 from San Antonio to Dallas, like Kaleeforneea, has traffic jams on the weekends, and neverending construction that never really does what it needs to do, a la Pennsylvania (the keystone merely being the cross-section of a concrete barrier).
