Lieberman, Kerry lead Bush in Connecticut
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 07:53 AM by wyldwolf
Lieberman is backed by 53 percent of those polled in Connecticut, while Bush wins support from 42 percent in a possible matchup.

John Kerry leads Bush 48 percent to 44 percent in Connecticut.

Bush narrowly leads three other Democrats seeking their party's nomination, according to the poll. Former Gen. Wesley Clark trails Bush 44 percent to 46 percent.

Howard Dean, former governor of Vermont, and Richard Gephardt, the Democrats' former leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, both trail Bush with 45 percent to the president's 47 percent.

1. You'd think Holy Joe would be higher
Since it's his home state.

Still, this shows no matter who the Dem nominee is, CT will vote Democratic once more.

Now if they can only get rid of Nancy johnson, I'll be very happy.

2. Dean is 2nd with Dems in CT after Lieberman
and of course, I wasn't polled.

CT for Dean is working hard to improve Dean's position in the Nutmeg state. I'll be hosting a Dean for America table at my DTC's "Meet the (Local) Candidates" fundraising dinner this coming Thursday. I'll bring my laptop, "Meet Howard Dean" CD, flyers, bumperstickers, buttons, and lots of excitement about Dean to the dinner. One of my meetup members from another town is donating to our local cause and going to help me man the table.
