Merle Haggard is a real music legend. Normally I don't put much credence in pop-stars opinions, but Merle has been around long enough to tell the truth.

That A-hole Toby Keith on the other hand... I can't believe Willie Nelson would stoop so low as to do a song with that clown.

The Chix pay a little tribute to Merle in their song "Long Time Gone" too. A line something like "They may be tired but they ain't Haggard, they may have money but they ain't got Cash."
