this is a little tounge-in-cheek; however, I have known people who've undergone radical, positive personality changes after beating their addictions.

Not to say that's necessarily the cause of his views here, but hey if it really did happen, more power to him.

You'll have to excuse my liberal idealism, but I still believe even the worst criminal can be reformed...so I will hold out some small hope for Rush.

4. I picture him going into a "rehab"...

completely tailored to him and his ego. A private room, a private crew of docs and reahabbers who will cater to him more than get him the real kind of rehab he needs.

I guess I'm skeptical that he'll achieve the epiphany we hope for. He may very well return the voctorious hero, energized to continue spewing his hateful divisive message.

When people talk about "evil in the world", I thnk of Rush fitting that description. I only hope we're spared my awful prediction and that I'm totally wrong.
