Stick a fork in me, I'm done!
If the Repukelicans who control this red-neck, bible thumping, gun toting, hell hole state succeed in screwing us out of our Dem. primary which they don't see as a problem since everyone is going to vote for LordGodBush anyway(that's pretty arrogant), on Nov. 7th I am going to write in the name of the person I've always wanted to vote for, that being Al Gore.

If the people in this Country don't have a problem with the Repukelicans changing the rules to assist their power grab, why in the Hell should I?

Now if ya'll will excuse me, there must be some stupid reality show fixin' to come on the Boob Toob that I just CAN'T miss. Priorities and all, ya know.

1. The DLC wants you to 'move on'...
...and so do the Bushies and their millions of fans.

- But you're right. People in this country don't give a damn. Hell...most posters on DU don't seem to give a damn. Get used to another four years of Bush*.

8. If there is a another four years of Bush....
I know some things are certain....

The Democratic Party will be dead, the US Dollar will be almost worthless, Any opposition to Bush's regime will crushed by force, the U.S. will be fighting five wars, the wealthy will become more wealthy, and I will be going into exile.

If that all happens, then America is not even worthy of the name "land of the free".

12. I sure as hell don't want another four years of Bush*
I won't sit the election out even it my vote doesn't count because "Everyone in this state is going to vote for Bush* anyway". So if my vote doesn't count, I may as well "vote" for the person who was always my first choice.

That's right kids, Willie Nelson for President.
Or atleast for governor. Yeah that's the ticket. They can have Arnold and we'll kick out Gov. Goodhair.

All we need now are some bumper stickers and t-shirts.

4. Few Care Outside of Texas But We'll Still Make It
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 03:35 PM by LoneStarLiberal
Just like the better part of the last decade, no one cares about what goes on here with Democratic voters because we're a "hopelessly red state." We're used to getting screwed by all the Republicans in this state on our home ground, so we really shouldn't expect any better treatment from Democratic activists and supporters in other parts of the country.

We're a lost cause to them and we're about to be even more of a lost cause since we're going to get socio-economically gerrymandered.

The one thing that will save us, texasblueeyes, is that the Republicans won't sit still for this. Even though we're a "hopelessly red state" to most Democratic voters outside of Texas, the Republican primary in Texas is where most of the political action in our state takes place. It's not just the Democratic primaries that are going to be delayed by our legislature's towel-popping locker room antics over redistricting, but the Republican primaries as well.

And Republicans aren't going to let that happen to other Republicans. Unfortunately for them they haven't devised a way to enfranchise their primary and disenfranchise us as of yet.

disenfranchise us completely.

14. I think you
are wrong about the Republicans. Bush will be re-nominated, nothing going on in the Texax primary will affect that, if it were held today. So, why is it that they are going to worry about the Democrats? We wouldn't be worrying about them.

11. I sometimes wonder if the DLC is a Republican inside group?
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 04:11 PM by Cascadian
I really do. They have done a damn good job at neutralizing the Democratic Party from it's core values. It makes me wonder if the Republican Party put these people in to infiltrate the Democratic Party. I really do.
