6. Sharpton on Blair
"He has the audacity to say that if Iraq didn't have WMD it doesn't matter...That is what they tried to pull. I would say my predecessor was wrong. I'm willing to concede American control. This President tried to use Hussein."

Now we going to have Castro recycled as a boogie-man. Bin Laden is shooting more videos in Pakistan than a rock star."

7. Sharpton
"If Arnold who has never had a serious political thought and become governor because he's an action star, well, I've been in the action man in the movement, and I've never had a stunt man to do my dirty work."

10. On "No Child Left Behind"
"It has got a great title. But the problem with the act in the first place. But I have other concerns. I don't think there's any substitute for great public education. The key to this country's education is the school teacher in the classroom. They have to resourced, supported, empowered, and paid properly in the country."

"The standard is not a score on a standardized test. But the standard for the teacher in the classroom: the teacher must develop the full potential of every boy and girl in the classroom. The teacher is the greatest leader in America. Better than the President, better than the generals. And I am sure that in this country we can find a better measure for teachers than standardized tests."

'We have to go beyond the No Child Left Behind Act, and the under-funding doesn't become an excuse to attack public education."

11. on War Wounded
Disgraceful how we never hear about the wounded. I'd like to see this government show a little bit of compassion and understanding. But I don't see the adminstration's youngsters over there and serving.

12. Clark Speaking Now
He's getting a lot of airtime and quite a few questions. It seems to be a very warm reception.

He is, in my biased opinion, kicking ass. :-)

He's really getting going now...Very fortunate that he decided to go, now that he's the only one there! It's like Coffee Talk with General Clark!

13. Moratorium against death penalties
What is Clark's position and have you seen any evidence that we should re-think our position?

"I have heard quite thoroughly about the discriminatory application of the death penalty."

"I believe that a soverign country has the right to impose the extreme sanction of capital punishment. But I'll tell you this, and we ought to be going back through every case on death row. There's no excuse for innocent men and women to be sitting on death row. We need to examine it and look at it forthwith."

16. I'm Curious How Much Play This Will Get in SC
I'm hoping a lot! Kucinich and Sharpton (who was very generous with the General) both had to leave early, leaving just Clark to field the forum. Mosely-Braun, Edwards and Gephardt were late due to travel difficulties. Lieberman had to cancel for the Sabbath, Dean had a family engagement and Kerry had a campaign commitment in NH.
