Rush Limbaugh Conspiracy?

Ok, ok, Rush is a hypocrite. Rush is big. But I don't think he's big news. Does anyone here other than me think this Rush thing is taking the spotlight off Leakgate, war in Iraq, mess in Afghanistan, and the sagging economy.

I mean big deal. I always knew the guy was a hypocrite. I am not saying this is a purposeful conspiracy but look at the facts: the leak about his drug problem came right after the appetizer, the McNabbb incident. It came from Florida which is Jeb territory and right during Leakgate, dropping polls, etc. And not only that; its the perfect story since its got the interest of conservatives and liberals. Liberals will love this to death as the discussion board is showing and will definitely continue the attack. Conservatives meanwhile will continue ranting about the liberal media and play victim; "Rush deserves compassion", "How can you say such a thing about Rush", etc. And of course conservatives get cover for the issues that really matter, the economy and the war.

The movers, shakers and evangelists are lying liars. Lie to get us into war. Lie about their piety and personal lives. Lie about their commitment to America in the case of Leakgate.

The liars are all connected. It's like a big, rotting web of lies that we're watching rot from within and it's all being discussed.

6. Well I am not saying Rush is in on this,

It is absurd to think that Rush planned his addiction to pain killers for just this purpose. I am just suggesting that some people may be jumping on this opportunity to take some of the focus off what i think are more important issues.

The Bryant case may take time away from press coverage on Bush's failures on CNN but not on Liberal talk shows, newspapers, etc. But this Rush thing will no doubt be a top headline in those media venues for some time. I would rather we focus on Leakgate, Iraq and the economy. I especially do not want to see Leakgate fade from the headlines as the Enron scandal did in what seems like eons ago.

8. Nah, this is jsut a bonus

The cart is falling apart and we get Rush bottoming out at the same time. We may not be able to knock Bus* down prior to the election but this all has a cumulative effect. People will realize that they were fed shit from the pig-boy, all the troubles of Bus* will come home to roost, and 2004 will be gold.

I do agree, though, that I would rather see my TV full-time with impeachment and treason trials...

7. When doesn't the CONServatives rant about the "Librul" Media?

If this were a Liberal radio talk show host(rare animal)the media which clearly isn't liberal, would be all over him/her like white on rice. The CONServatives would be piling on and we wouldn't hear one word about how the Media is "Librul". However since Pigboy is their #1 propagandist, they're screaming "Librul" Media from the roof top. What's new? The Media, Liberal or not would still be covering this. Do they need to give it as much attention as they are? No, but when they didn't have Pigboy or sharks or missing pregnant wives to cover 24/7, they still didn't report all the crap going on with the Bush* MisAdministration. Nor will they ever.
