Deeply humble man

Did any of you catch Brent Bozell on Tweeties show when he said that Rush Limbaugh was "a deeply humble man"? By the way, Brent is the head spinner at the Media Research Center, an admittedly right wing "think tank". This certainly gives new meaning to the word humble does it not? Talent on loan from God, half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair among many other amusing and boisterous claims by El Rushbo, seems to have been lost in Brents analysis. Agree with Rush or disagree, but puleeeeeeze don't tell us he is a humble man. Any thoughts DUers.

1. My boss, a daily Rush listener, has given me the same line

He once claimed that all that hyperbole about his talent is tongue in cheek; that he really doesn't take himself seriously; that he's very modest.

He also is quite emphatic that "Rush isn't fat anymore." No, but he's still an idiot.

I haven't had a chance to rub his face in it yet. Were this a democrat or any liberal with an addiction, he would be cackling with glee, but he will look very serious Monday as he tells me how brave Rush is in admitting his affliction and he will strongly imply that only a hyena would make light of the fact.

And it will be my turn to cackle with glee. :evilgrin:

I agree with most negative comments about Rush except the weight thing. I won't go there because I have a problem in that area myself. But when someone like Bozell makes the absurd claim that Rush is humble and deserving of our sympathy, or the prez says he is a national treasure, then I have to take issue with it. That is, as soon as I clean the puke off my keyboard.

Certainly isn't a word I would use to describe Pigboy. Loudmouth hate-filled racist arrogant hypocrite maybe but not humble.

3. Shhh...Here's a little secret from an "insider"....

"alcohol (or drugs) are but a symptom". Translation: if he had humility, he wouldn't be in this pickle. And you can take that to the bank.
