9/11: It takes your breath away!
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 08:46 PM by spooked
I just came across this picture of B*sh at the moment Andrew Card gave him the news that a second plane had hit the towers.

Don't you find it strange that his mouth isn't open in this photo??!

Upon hearing the news of 9/11, or seeing it on TV, the NATURAL reaction is surprise, which causes a person to open their mouth, and breath through the mouth. Even if he knew the first plane had hit, remember he was already thinking that was "some terrible pilot".

How can he sit there with his lips closed like that...how can he breath through his nose upon hearing the news that America is under attack?!...I just don't see surprise on that face or in his reaction.

6. The one that gets me
is the fact that the B*sh administration CONTACTED the elementary school and asked if they could come down and visit on 9/11.

Does anyone know when the visit was scheduled?

The best source is What Really Happened.com's 9/11 Nav Bar page. Unfortunately their most recent cosmetic makeover makes it a bit difficult to get the "big" picture. From what I recall, however, the president's photo op (where he pretended he could read at a 3rd grade level) happened too early to be just a spontaneous "drop by" visit.

Any president, but this scripted spokesmodel in particular, can never just drop by at any site without at least a few days' prep and security run down by the secret service.

Back when I read thru the whole "WRH" site last spring, it seemed pretty clear that the Bush admin. is more a bunch of cocksure screw-ups who want to play "confident leaders" rather than dastardly illuminati-type villains orchestrating massive frauds to justify a pre-planned crackdown on civil liberties.

I mean, if they were as good at lying and planning as the conspiracy advocates claim, why did they do such a lousy job with the WMDs in Iraq? How hard would it be to simply plant the evidence at this point? Not very, since any informed person knows the source of most of Iraq's illegal weaponry would have been US corporations anyway.

There's a large cross section between people who claim "Bush is dumb" and those that subscribe to LIHOP/MIHOP. It seems you can't have things both ways.

Although I can't prove "Bush didn't know" or "Bush didn't make it happen", one needs to only look at the variety of conflicting conspiracy theories ... ie, some say it was a missile that hit the Pentagon (wrong, the plane flew over my brother's secretary's car), others cite the absence of terrorists is the autopsy reports of the victims - guess what - the terrorists weren't "victims", and others note that Bush sat in a chair for a few minutes after being told - well, if I can lay in bed all day after hearing the news, he can sit in a chair for a few minutes.

What did you do when you found out? I imagine many called relatives in NYC, but I think being paralyzed in awe/shock/disbelief was by far the most common response.

Criticize scampering around like deer with it's ass on fire for half a day if you wish ... but I think there's many non-challengable things you would be better criticizing this administration on.

And that's another thing - if the White House knew about 9/11 in advance, don't you think they'd played a charade of acting with resolve from the outset instead of waiting till the evening to have Bush give a less than inspiring speech?

17. Okay think about this.
Wouldn't it take a really dumb person to allow a scenario like LIHOP or MIHOP to happen on his watch? Bush is not the architect of these plans but the person who owns the property they will be built on. Think about it.

LIHOP = Let It Happen On Purpose

22. they mean...
"let it happen on purpose" and "made it happen on purpose"--in other words, increasing degrees of paranoia about Bush's villainous capacities.

I believe in a different acronym. TI+TDBGCWBLOCATSFBIFSGATNBO-BOCOMNM.

Which, OBVIOUSLY means "Too incompetant, plus too damn busy getting chummy with bin Ladin's oil-smeared cousins and thus stalled the FBI from seriously going after their nutcase brother Osama--but only culpable of malfeasance, not murder."

28. He didn't 'sit in a chair for a few minutes'...
...he sat in chair for many minutes....twenty or so. One wouldn't expect ANY CIC to sit there while America was attacked. It was his JOB to 'do something'.

- These are not 'conflicting' theories...they're different theories.

4. I would say that's "tense mouth"
http://members.aol.com/nonverbal2/tensemou.htm

The tense-mouth has been observed as a sign a. of anger, frustration, and threat; b. of determination; c. of sympathy; and d. of cognitive processing (e.g., while pondering, thinking, or feeling uncertain). The face may show obvious muscular tension (i.e., with the lips held tightly together) or less noticeable tension (i.e., with the lips parted and slightly tightened).

5. also from that link:

U.S. politics. 1. The lips of a chronically angry, anxious, or intense individual may "freeze" in a permanently tight-lipped expression, as shown, e.g., in 1960s photos of FBI director, J. Edgar Hoover. 2. The tense-mouth is visible in AP photos of President William Jefferson Clinton, sitting in the Map Room of the White House on August 17, 1998, minutes before making a televised statement to the American people: "Indeed, I did have a relationship with Ms. Lewinsky that was not appropriate."

on edit:

in other words, that can also be the expression of someone about to be BUSTED!

http://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/Hatfield-R-091901/hatfield-r-091901.html

The author was suicided two weeks later after saying that he and his family had received death threats from Bush operatives.

This was two months BEFORE 9-11

21. I have always interpreted his body language (facial expression)
on this particular occasion as one of anger at being betrayed, as in a plan not going according to plan, or the player getting played. He IS surprised, but not at the event but how it played out.

The only thing I can think of, and it's borne out IMO by his "travels" during the rest of the day, is that he knew very well about the general plan, but he hadn't been told the whole thing and it was more than he expected. I think Cheney was pulling these strings, and there were more and bigger strings that W was prepared for.

Cheney kept him out of Washington for the entire day, and when he finally got back to Washington, he slunk across the White House lawn, stoop shouldered, eyes darting left and right, as if he were half expecting an assassin's bullet.

All speculation on my part, but this is the only thing that makes sense to me with that facial expression, his being gone all day, and how he behaved on his return.

25. he reminds me of a young actor trying to fein concern yet remain calm
it all seems so scripted.

then they conformed to SS SOP by hoping round the country overreacting like they didn't know where the attack was comming from after remaining calm just moments before.

if there were real terrorist here who wanted to do real damage to america they would have been done it by now.

the ONLY way they could inact their PNAC agenda was to allow 911 to happen.

he is a willing actor, imho

I don't believe Cheney & Co. are going to risk their plans by explaining them in detail to an incompetent Resident-in-Chief.
