1. there's a couple but they aren't contemporary

Like Will Bennett his hypocrisy was a career of exposing other people's moral frailties, not overt schizophrenia like Jim and Tammy. He was conscious enough of his failings not to harp on the subject in recent years, just as Bennett didn't single out gambling per se. But there's definitely a self-loathing angle to proselytization, like J Edgar Hoover's fascination with documenting people's sex lives.
