Gloat Post: Whatif Rush Cops A Plea?

Let's assume that Rush gets the Bush family rehab treatment (3 strikes and you're out...oops those first two were foul-tips, they don't count), but to do so he has to accept some sort of plea of guilt for the possession of controlled substances, how would this effect his citizenship rights?

Isn't Florida the state where a convicted felon not only loses his/her right to vote, but can never gain it back even after they've completed parole. Now if this law applies to the Rushmeister, how could he ever be an effective political vote since he has lost his right to be a participant in our "democracy"?

he has not been arrested for possession. he can't be charged with possession because they never caught him with anything.

Of course like a good Repig wifey I'm sure Marta has flushed the evidence. If this person under suspicion didn't make 30 million a year they would have broke the door down a week ago with an iron clad search warrant.

No he hasn't been arrested yet...but there appears to be something legal that will develop of this.

There's an on-going investigation and my bets are that Rush rushed into rehab/hiding as the probe is getting closer.

Next question then would be if his housekeeper was wired (I know, and I don't know the admissibility of such evidence) or at least was called to testify, I've seen many people convicted of possession without actually having been caught with the stuff...for example when DEA/MEG agents raid a drug hang-out...everyone gets pinched, not just those who have stuff on them.

If he's never charged, he's never going to have to enter a plea.

He'll never be charged, guaranteed. No prosecutor in FL will touch him and Ashcroft has already put the kabash on any federal charges.

He's going to do his 30 days of self imposed rehab AND WALK!
