This is a blatant coup against the will of the people. Don't be surprised if this was Karl Rove-inspired. I also think John Ashcroft had a hand in this too. These people are just amazing.

I will bet they are going to scuttle the Washington state gubernatorial race too.

Street has such an abrasive demeanor and his foolish comments like "The brothers and sisters are in charge," have kept him hovering at the 50% point.

Something like this will likely shove him under, IMHO.

I am in the Twilight Zone, because the Busheviks have me feeling sorry for Street. He never had a chance.

Remember the 2000 convention in Philly, where Street was a good Republican and did what he was told and infiltrated and "preventativey arrested" protestors and how he kissed Bush*s ass.

Well, John, the Busheviks are like the Mafia, and now you realize what happens to patsies who "aren't really on the team"?

Hell, I bet the Busheviks purposefully sent a spike back through those bugs just so it would be YOU that found them, and at just the right time.

Yep, Sreet's probaly done, another trophy head (along with Wellstone, Carnahan, Gore, Cleland, Kallie-fornia, Texas, Colorado...) for the Bushevik Wall.

Don't hold your breath to see any investigations of Republican Officials.

13. ahhh the summer of 2000

I covered the hearings for the members of the puppet warehouse after they decided to end their protest and provide their names so they could make bail. They came into the courtroom *reeking* because they had been denied showers for days in the August heat. They were just kids but I give them credit for holding out as long as they did.

I remember John Sellers and Kate Sorenson being held on $1 million bail for misdemeanors. IIRC, talking on cell phones was called "inciting a riot" or something like that. I remember thinking Bush was going to get his ass kicked in November and all the injustice would just melt away... x(


Yes the timing of the discovery of the bugs is too perfect. The feds knew about the sweeps of City Hall. Unless this backfires dramatically, Street is toast. His loyalty to the reich has served its purpose and now it's time for him to go. Thanks for the memories.

11. Street and Corruption

I cannot stand municipal corruption. I have felt John Street was a corrupt politico almost from day one. I also don't buy into the "If he's a Democrat, he must be okay" talk. And, to me, the most distasteful thing is the attack on the U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia, Patrick Meehan, when the people on DU making those attacks don't know him at all. I remember many a Democrat saying Santorum's campaign manager should REALLY be the Senator. He is a man of integrity. A Specter protégé who is a liberal Republican with a LOT of respect from just about everyone. Look at the facts that prompted the investigation and remember that honor and integrity are still worth preserving. The fact that Mayor Street is a Democrat is really beside the point. He has dug his own political grave. We should be angry at John Street - not Patrick Meehan for doing his job. I AM angry at Street; he's sure not worth defending.
