Seniors are weary of Medicare promisesSNIP....."Some elderly Iowans say they are bewildered by recent criticisms by Kerry and Gephardt of Dean's comments, in 1995, praising a congressional Republican proposal to cut the growth of Medicare spending by $270 billion. "The Democrats need to be saying how they'll pay for a drug benefit, right now, and how they can get a Congress of Republicans to go along."

Incidentally, my point was made on my other post about Medicare which got 5 responses. Posts that say things against candidates get lots and lots more than that.
Again, I ask, what are the congressional incumbents, who DO have the power now doing??? Are they stopping the Republican juggernaut to demolish Social Security and Medicare? Right now the bills are passing congress......how are your candidates voting??
