Could this be why Limbaugh is under investigation?
FBI/DEA search warrant request here:

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/beshara2.html

Pay attention to all of the shenannigans these guys were into, especially when one says he employs the other, when that's clearly not the case. There's also some strange factor about addresses, who lives where, and who owns what.

Then look at these mugs:

If Rush was the guy responsible for the main support of these thugs (their "office," etc.), he could be in REAL trouble far beyond his own addiction.

4. Weimies are great, yes! Most loving dogs.
We have a weim and a golden; currently we have TWO weims and a golden here since we're taking care of my dear friend's dog. She is Huck (the weim's) sister. What fun!

If you haven't already, you might want to visit Jeremy Friedberg's site, weim.net

6. This depends...but one thing is clear.
He has a superstar lawyer and is running (to rehab) for his life to bide some time.

He is possibly more involved with the actual drug ring than most people think.

3. "RICO" Rush
If the Feds do their job the way they would if the alleged perp wasn't a well-known Nazi; Rush would probably face a RICO statute charge or two.

5. RICO--what's RICO?
From reading the request for search warrant, it's clear that the crooks had a front operation going, with full offices.

If Rush was their biggest client, he might in fact be responsible for the offices, for the crooks, and hell, for the whole operation!

Does RICO have something to do with that?

7. RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization)
Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO)

The Organized Crime Control Act of 1970 amended existing Federal
racketeering statutes to include the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt
Organizations Act (RICO).

RICO specifically prohibits four activities: (a) investing the proceeds
of a pattern of racketeering activity (as defined below) in an
enterprise that engages in interstate or foreign commerce; (b) acquiring
or maintaining an interest in such an enterprise by means of a pattern
of racketeering activity; (c) using a pattern of racketeering activity
in conducting the affairs of such an enterprise; or (d) conspiracy to do
(a), (b), or (c).

The statute defines racketeering activity as any of 27 types of
violations of the U.S. Code and 8 types of State felonies. The 27
Federal offenses include specific types of gambling, prostitution, drug
offenses, obscenity, theft, fraud, extortion, counterfeiting, bribery,
obstruction of justice, cigarette boot-legging, and labor law
violations. State predicate crimes include murder, kidnaping, gambling,
arson, robbery, bribery, extortion, and drug offenses.

The statute defines enterprise to include any individual, partnership,
corporation, association, or other legal entity, or any group of
individuals who, though not a legal entity, are associated in fact.

9. Depending on the amounts of $$$ Rush gave these crooks,
Edited on Sat Oct-11-03 05:44 PM by janx
yes--he would qualify. He would be one of them under this law.

Edit: Thanks so much for the information. I'd heard of RICO, but I'd never read anything about it.

10. I know someone who was a patient there
I had a client two years ago who went there to overcome an addiction to alcohol. He's still sober, too.
